Mavain's Hole is in a deep hole in eastern Gnominava County, which greatly impacts the local weather. Some sprawl has been made outside the actual hole, but the Downtown area is in the Hole. There is a pond in the northeastern part of the Hole for its main source of water.

Mavain's Hole was created by a guy called Mavain, which also made the namesake county Mavaino County, before it was forcibly changed by sects of the Dulmia World Congress in October 2023. It was originally just a small outpost in a massive hole in a mesa biome, hence the name. It only became an actual town after pressure from the Squahamian majority in the Dulmia World Congress.
