Driftwood was founded by crlowman on March 28th, 2024 after doing an exploration trip on another server for building ideas for newer, more vibrant towns. The first thing he worked on was the port and warehouse. This made it much easier to set up the town as a whole. Soon after, dense, mixed-use development came in to reality to make downtown economically viable.

Driftwood is on the western coast of Driftwood County, at the mouth of a river and a mixture of grassland and warm forests. The closest city is Ventura, 160m directly to the west. Most of the hills lie to the northeast of town, which are covered in bamboo and jungle trees.

Driftwood's architecture is rather distinctive mainly for its use of stripped dark oak wood, which is not indigenous to the area but nevertheless used for asthetics. Buildings tend to be more boxy than slender, as well as a lot more windows than the dulmCraft average.
