Pantanopolis was founded in August 2023 by aafghj of Bananil as a new place to call his home: Pantano. “Pantano” means plains in Portuguese, refering to the flatness of the land(and water). He made a waterfront, harbor, some houses and a capitol inspired from the Brazilian capitol. Then, bicboi555 built I-30 through Pantanopolis as an accessway to the newly found capital city. After that, crlowman came along and added much more buildings and even some streets and roads.

Pantanopolis sits on the eastern bank of the Twin River. To its east is the Pantano Swamp, once called the Calcoglades by Squahamia. Hills are present mostly in the northern end of the city but some are along the South Shore.
